Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park consists of a large, elevated plateau, with low, rounded glacial mountains and passes that cut through the plateau. It is home to five of the six highest mountains in Scotland.

The park is known for its many rare plants, birds, and animals that live in a unique alpine semi-tundra moorland habitat. The Cairngorms National Park features wild mountains, heather moorlands and peatlands, ancient woodlands, wetlands, and rivers.
