The Istrian Peninsula tour ran from October 7-17, 2019. This was our second collaboration with Hellam’s Vineyard. We started out our tour in the Northeastern Italian city of Trieste. It is a lovely harbor city on the Adriatic sea. We left Trieste with our driver Vedran and traveled to our first destination of Rovinj.

Our third collaboration with Sempre Italiano brings us back to Sardinia. The tour ran from September 21-29, 2019. This year we really lucked out in Sardara as this was the weekend of their yearly celebration of their patron Saint that included a procession and a festival just down the street from our hotel at the thermal spa. We were also invited to witness some grape stomping and have a workman’s lunch with the folks from Mogoro Vineyard.

Our second collaboration with Sempre Italiano was our Italian Lakes tour that ran from October 15-22, 2018. We began our tour in the lovely city of Verona. Our centrally located hotel was just off the Piazza Erbe. One of the most unique settings in the city. The next day was an outing to Sirmione on the southern shores of Lake Garda that is home to the medieval castle Rocca Scaligera.

Our first Sardinia Wine & Culture tour ran from October 5 -13, 2018. It was our first collaboration with Hellam’s Vineyard. We began the tour from the town of Gagliari and had a tour, tasting and lunch at Argiolas Winery after which we continued to the Town of Sardara where we stayed at the Thermal spa. The next day was a tour, and lunch in Mogoro and an exploration of an ancient Nuraghe near Mogoro.

Our first Piemonte tour ran from October 17 - 24 2017. We were blessed with beautiful warm days and cool nights with only a couple of foggy days which are the norm for the area through fall and winter. This tour was our first collaboration with Laura and Raffaele Chiusano of Sempre Italiano. We started out the tour with the trip from Torino to Costigliole d’Asti where we were based in a lovely Agriturismo.

Our second Cooking Tour to Matelica was equally a success with the addition of a couple of brave men who were game to learn some Italian cooking skills as well as a little Italian language.
