Getting Ready to Go!

Ciao Tutti! We are so excited to be able to return to touring and we’re in the final stages of confirming the Fall 2022 tours! We look forward to seeing some returning friends and meeting some new ones. The Fall Tours will start on October 4, and run through October 11, 2022 in Piedmont. We will meet in Torino(Turin) and commence with the tour that will take us around the exceptional wine and food areas in the Langhe and then back to the fascinating city of Torino. Next we go to Umbria from October 14-22, 2022. From Rome we will travel to the region of Umbria to stay in the hill towns of Todi and Perugia exploring the area and visiting several vineyards, towns and even a chocolate factory. At the conclusion of the tour we transfer to Santa Maria Novella station in Florence . We have been getting a lot of questions about our protocols for Covid-19 so we thought this was a good time to go over things as they are right now. We require all participants to be fully immunized for Covid-19 with the approved vaccines. This information can be found on the CDC website. This means basically you must have the two initial shots plus the booster. Some of the countries are very specific about this and some are not but to be safe and to avoid problems upon entry we are requiring the 3 shots. We ask that you provide us with a copy of your vaccination record. We will keep these copies with us for use at the different venues if necessary and in case you accidentally lose your card. This situation is fluid and can change rapidly which is why we want to be prepared as much as possible before getting on the plane. It would be wise also to scan your card and email it to yourself should you need another copy. We are monitoring the US State Department website as well as the Embassy websites of the countries we will be touring to keep up on the existing protocols for each. We strongly recommend that all participants understand what is covered when purchasing travel insurance to make sure that you are protected from costs incurred should you contract the virus and need to quarantine. Not all insurance is created equal! Although counts are high in many places right now the trend is going down so hopefully it will continue in that direction through the summer. Marcia and I will be doing research for next years tours in May so we will get an idea how things are shaping up over there. Keep checking back with us to find out the latest news on the tours. Until we see you in the Fall, stay safe and have a great Spring and Summer!

A Presto,

Kelli and Marcia
