Scotland Whisky Tour

Our Scotland Whisky tour was awesome! We learned so much about how scotch whisky is made and what an art it is to make it. We started everything out by meeting in Edinburgh and touring the Edinburgh Castle, lunching at a typical Scottish Pub, then on to the Scotch Whisky Experience which was an absolutely entertaining introduction to scotch whisky, followed by a tasting and dinner. The next morning it was off to the Falkirk Wheel, an engineering marvel, and a walk by the Kelpies sculpture. We stopped at Blair Castle for lunch and a quick tour of the castle on our way to the Speyside whisky area and our wonderful accommodations at Blervie House in Forres. Graham and Sheena Thompson were our charming hosts and they made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We visited The Benromach, The Benriach, The Glenfarclas, The GlenDronach, Distilleries and Glenlivet Lounge as well as Cardhu distillery tasting room over the next five days. They were all distinctly different and we learned something new at every place we went. We also tasted some excellent gin at Benromach (Red Door) as well. Next we visited the Johnstons cashmere mill and the Elgin Cathedral. We visited the Ballindaloch, and Cawdor Castles and had a nice lunch at the Cawdor Tavern. Next we went out to the Culloden battle field were the Jacobite army had its last stand and then we cruised Loch Ness although we didn’t catch a glimpse of Nessie. We ended our tour in Inverness. Thank you to Jim, Rich, Jeremy, Bonnie, Neil and Brad for making the tour a success! We are so glad you all joined us. We enjoyed this tour so much we are planning on repeating it in 2025! Keep checking the website for updates. Slainte Mhath!
